One of my favorite sayings, or at least it's one of my favorites now
{because it used to rattle me to no end when my mom would lovingly encourage me
with it when I was a tad bit younger and wishing my life was going somewhere, or at least
to the places I thought it should be going}
is this...
"Bloom Where You Are Planted"
I used to not like it very much because it spoke to that part of me that usually wanted to be
someplace else rather than where I was at the moment,
and
someplace else rather than where I was at the moment,
and
even though I love the saying much more now, and can appreciate the truth behind it, I still struggle at times with the "where I am" in this beautiful journey called LIFE.
It's a beautiful thing, you know? This gift we've been given.
And so, right now, I am the thankful, ever learning, sometimes stubborn,
amazingly blessed,
stand-in-awe-at-how-the-LORD-answered-my-10+years-of-prayers-for-'Willie',
wife of {drum-roll please} Will.
aka Willie Boy
{I'll save that ^ story for another post}
And oh what fun we are having! It has not all been easy peasy, this very first year of marriage,
but it has been good, and we're in it for the long haul baby!
The moments, the todays, and the forevers.
The moments, the todays, and the forevers.
...and
I'm learning, and learning what it is to "bloom where I am planted",
I'm learning, and learning what it is to "bloom where I am planted",
to love the everyday simple joys, to be a godly wife, to follow after Christ with all that I am,
and to live each day with a grateful heart...
because these "todays" and these "nows",
they make up our lives...
so bloom!
